I am a writer who writes mostly for non profits but I don’t want to limit myself. I have spent most of my career working for non profits but decided to take an new path to begin writing. The type of writing that I have done has been to help further the mission of those organizations whose values I respect. I’m factoring in the quality of the book (I do a full color comic book which would probably only find a niche market at this point), distribution/availability (like that company owned by amazon.com), any proprietory software you need to buy, price, etc.
